In the spring of 2025, together with you, we delivered a Steyr 1291 military truck to the 25th Separate Assault Battalion, fulfilling a critical strategic need for an entire battalion.

This is the same truck that was confiscated by Polish customs, and which we fought to recover for nearly half a year. The amount of effort and emotion invested in this vehicle has been immense.

However, at the end of summer 2025, while carrying out a combat mission, the truck was struck by a drone. It was forced off the road and overturned. The damage was beyond operational repair—the cabin and cargo compartment were completely destroyed, along with several other critical components. As a result, the truck was set to be written off due to the lack of available parts.

When we learned this, our foundation decided to bring the truck back for a full assessment of its condition and repair potential.

After a detailed analysis of all available options, we made the decision to restore the STEYR 1291 by cannibalizing other trucks and parts available on the market—in other words, to create our own “FrankenSteyr.”

That’s why we are launching a fundraiser of 625,000 hryvnias to cover all the necessary restoration work. Once completed, the truck will be returned to the 25th Separate Assault Battalion.
